Whether you were burned by tweezers in the 1990s and never saw your brows grow back, or you simply don't want to fill in your brows every morning, microblading can be a simple option for full, flawlessly maintained, natural-looking brows. While the word "microblading" has become fairly commonplace in recent years, the in-salon technique (and what happens to your brows thereafter) can still cause a lot of misunderstanding. So, what exactly is brow microblading? Is eyebrow microblading permanent? Will you end up with brows like those on Instagram? The list of questions are infinite. Have you fascinated about microblading , wondering if it actually means I won't have to fill in my brows every morning. Don't worry McDoll Solan is here to help answer all your questions.

Unlike an eyebrow pencil that you brush off before bed, eyebrow microblading is a more advanced brow procedure that employs a superfine row of needles to deposit pigments into the skin, resulting in tiny, hair-like strokes. Microblading is a permanent makeup technique that is becoming increasingly popular for creating a highly thick and realistic appearing brow. The treatment is comparable to machine-based hair stroke cosmetic tattoos, except the strokes are finer and are not implanted as deeply into the skin. As a result, microblading brows seem nicer, but they are not as permanent and only last around two years. To implant pigment into the epidermal skin layer, technicians make hair-like incisions with very small blades. Hair strokes are imitated in the incisions. Depending on the client's desired result, these strokes are applied to the new shape, and the area is gradually made thicker with further strokes and pigment. Because our clients are in the hands of a true artist, the technique we use produces stunning outcomes. This is a two-step treatment that includes an initial session and a touch-up."

While there are thousands of eyebrow products on the market, microblading is preferred by individuals who desire fuller, more natural-looking brows without the trouble of filling them in every morning or the anxiety that the pigment won't stay all day. If you like the look of a brow pencil, you'll love microblading. Consult with your technician if you have oily skin or an old permanent makeup tattoo on your brows to see if microblading is good for you. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, you should postpone the procedure because it involves a moderate local anesthetic and the application of color to the skin.

The practice of microblading or any form of body art tattooing must be licensed through the state of Michigan. There are specific requirements that must be followed by any body art facility.
• These requirements were created to protect the health of all people seeking body art within the state of Michigan by requiring that an individual shall not tattoo, on another individual unless it occurs in a licensed body art facility.
• These requirements are designed to ensure that body art services are provided in a safe and sanitary manner and physical environment by individuals with documented education/training on safe and sanitary body art administration.
• These requirements contain provisions for local health department inspection of body art facilities applying for and/or holding a body art facility’s license.
There are also county and sometimes city requirements for the facility and the technician. In Oakland County, a practitioner permit from the Oakland County Health Division is required, and the permit shall be conspicuously displayed within any establishment in which body art is performed.
Oakland County Health Division will issue practitioner permits to individuals who have:
1. Completed a Hepatitis B vaccination series; or who have medical evidence of immunity; or have an approved and completed vaccination declination waiver,
2. Completed the appropriate application and paid the required permitting fee, and
3. Completed a bloodborne pathogen class that meets Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Association (MIOSHA) requirements and includes components specific to the practice of body art.
Your technician should also know:
• How to properly mix and modify pigments
• Sanitation, public health, and safety procedures
• Be experienced in Brow design and placement

"First, we have a consultation with the customer, during which we learn about their desired outcome, their skin (including any sensitivity), and the technique." A discussion about which colors will work best is also included in the consultation. After that, we start mapping the brows." During mapping, the artist creates a sketch of the new brow shape and design. Clients are given the option to study the new brow design and propose any changes that they feel are necessary to better suit their preferences. After the client approves the design, the brow area is numbed before the treatment begins. After the numbing has been completed, the artist will begin making the brow strokes and applying the pigment to the skin." Throughout the procedure, the artist assesses the client's comfort and keeps an eye out for any swelling or unpleasant reactions to the pigment. When the brow strokes are finished, the artist shows the client their new brows and goes over the aftercare instructions. A touch-up visit is planned for 4-6 weeks following the initial session at this time. Prior to leaving the studio, we provide all of our clients with aftercare advice from McDoll.

After getting your brows microbladed, you must strictly adhere to the aftercare guidelines in order to get the desired results; otherwise, you will be wasting your money. Dry healing is used for the first several days, followed by gentle cleansing and application of the supplied cream. "The brows will scab during the healing period," the artist explains. "The cream is no longer required once the scabs have come off. No other cosmetics may be used on the brows until the healing process is complete." The brows will be darker and slightly red following the treatment, but the redness and pigment will fade as the brows mend. Wearing sunscreen on your face on a regular basis helps to keep the ink from fading due to UV rays, and it's also crucial to stay hydrated and take care of your skin.

The healing time for microblading is typically 25 to 30 days. It begins immediately following your procedure. However, the rate at which your skin heals will vary slightly from person to person. It is determined by a variety of factors, including your:
• skin type
• age
• general health
In general, your brows will look different for the first 10 to 14 days. Almost every day, the color, definition, and texture will vary. You'll also notice changes in your skin's sensations. Your face will first feel tender, tight, and unpleasant. This will result in irritation and flaking, which will ultimately go away.
Day by day, microblading healing
Typically, the following is what you can expect following the procedure:
Days 1–3:
Your brows appear bigger, but your face may feel cut and sore. Your brows will appear incredibly bold and full on the first day. The color may appear incredibly black, but keep in mind that it will fade over time. You will most likely encounter: redness\tenderness, slight swelling, mild bleeding, and a cut or bruised feeling. These adverse effects should gradually fade by days 2 and 3.
Days 3–5:
Eyebrows become very dark and begin to peel off. Your brows will darken and thicken as the pain and tenderness subside. By day 5, your brows will have started to scab. They'll be flaky and itch. This is normal and indicates that your skin is mending.
Days 5–8:
Flaking persists, and the color diminishes. More scabbing, flaking, and peeling is to be expected. Refrain from picking at the scabs, as this might reopen the wounds and impair the healing process. It may also remove some pigment from the brows, resulting in uneven brows. Instead, let the scabs fall off naturally. The dark hue will fade when your brows flake further. But don't worry, the color will return.
Days 8–12:
Flaking stops and color returns. The flaking will gradually stop after the first week. The color will reappear as well. Color and texture appear more realistic
Days 12 to 21.
Your brows should be more even and natural in color. Individual brow hairs will be more defined, giving the appearance of feathery brows.
Days 21–30:
The skin has healed. Your skin will be entirely healed within one month. You should not experience any pain or discomfort. Your brows should be soft and full as well. You'll most likely have a follow-up appointment with your provider in the next month or two. This allows them to check on how your skin has recovered and to treat any areas that have appeared.

It sort of does, to be honest. It isn't unbearable, but it isn't pleasant either. It's like a tiny knife cutting into the skin above your eye over and over, reproducing each hair you need tattooed onto your browline, and while you'll be given numbing cream and we'll be very delicate, it's painful and stings a little.

Microblading results typically last 18-30 months. Touch-ups are required every 12 to 18 months, depending on the look. Each touch-up procedure takes time to recover.
